Pippin Pre-School provides high quality early years education, with a high staff-to-child ratio to ensure that all children in our care receive sufficient individual attention. Our Pre-School Assistants are constantly updating their knowledge and in addition to the formal qualifications listed below, have also undertaken training in the following areas: Special Educational Needs, Behaviour Management, Self-Esteem & Social Skills, Verbal Reasoning and Thinking Skills in Children, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Teach the Foundation Stage Curriculum Through Block Play, Music the 4th R, Child Protection, Celebrations Training Network, Epipen Auto-Injector Training, Birth to Three Matters, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Discovering Heuristic Play in Foundation Stage Settings, The Great Outdoors, Observation and Assessment, Health & Safety, Language & Communication, Planning a Curriculum, Persona Doll Training,, Looked After Children Training, Safeguarding, Including Children In The Playground, Supporting Bereaved Children. SHARON GODDON - PLATE
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 4 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Sharon was born in Stotfold and grew up there, attending Roecroft Lower School, Etonbury Middle School, and finally Fearnhill Secondary School in Letchworth. She helped out at the Cherokee Cub Pack from an early age, becoming a leader at the age of 18. She met her husband at a Cub training course and they were married in 1991. She left Scouting to have her first child, James. Two years later she had her twins – Isabel and George. Sharon joined the Pippin Pre-School Committee when James started at 2 1/2 years old. She later voluntered at the Pre-School when Isabel and George started at Pippin. She has now been employed at Pippin for 11 years and has never looked back! Sharon has recently been promoted to Manager at Pippin and is Pippin’s Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO), responsible for applying for funding to support children with additional needs.

TRACY GRANT - PLATE
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Tracey and her husband Jay were married at St Mary’s Church, on 21st September 2013, 12 years to the day that they were engaged! She is originally from North London, having grown up in Camden Town, and once she had her older daughter Katie she decided to move somewhere more rural for her to grow up. She also has another daughter Jessica who started at Roecroft Lower School last year. She has worked at Pippin for 4 1/2 years. In her spare time Tracey enjoys watching films and drawing, which she has an A-Level and Diploma in. She likes to lose her inhibitions and be silly with the children as there is nothing more rewarding than making them laugh. Tracey is now Assistant Manager at Pippin and is also our choir mistress, responsible for teaching the children lots of songs over the course of the year and especially for our Christmas concerts.

ANDREA BAINBRIDGE - PLATE
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Andrea has lived in Stotfold since she was 11 years old, she is married and has 2 grown up children and 1 grand-daughter. She has worked in Childcare since attending college almost 30 years ago. She started as a nanny, then when she had her children she was a registered childminder for 16 years. She then worked in a day nursery for 3 years and has been working at Pippin for 2 years. Andrea is a member of the Stotfold Junior Football Club Committee where she holds the post of Child Welfare Officer. When she has the time she enjoys reading, walking and cake-making with her grand-daughter.

JESSICA HARRIS - PLATE
QUALIFICATIONS: BTEC Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years First Aid.
Originally from Wales, Jessica moved to Letchworth in 2009 with her partner and attended a local college to complete her childcare qualification. She still regularly visits Wales to her see friends, family and attend Cardiff’s bi-annual Film and Comic Con. Jessica enjoys living a quiet life, going to the cinema, watching TV & Film and working on her cosplays. Jessica hopes to start her Level 4 childcare qualification very soon.

YVONNE MYNOTT
QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma in Pre-School Practice, Early Years First Aid.
Yvonne has worked at Pippin for 31 years, since her 2 children attended the pre-school, and all of her 4 grandchildren have since passed through the group. She started as a parent volunteer and then became a member of the Committee, before becoming employed as a Pre-School Assistant. Yvonne is now one of our Session Leaders. She grew up near Buntingford before moving to Stevenage when she married, and later on to Stotfold. She has thoroughly enjoyed her work at Pippin over the years and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her family, reading and listening to music.

CLAIRE HICKS
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 2 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Claire has been working at Pippin for 3 1/2 years. She was born in Welwyn Garden City and lived there until 3 1/2 years ago when she moved to Stotfold. She is married with 3 children and has 2 dogs, 1 cat and lots of tropical fish. Claire enjoys spending her free time with her family, walking her dogs, watching films and gardening in the warmer weather.

DEAN WOOD
QUALIFICATIONS: City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 in Childcare, Early Years First Aid.
Dean has lived in Stotfold for most of his life and is the eldest of 9 siblings. He attended Roecroft Lower School, Etonbury Middle School and Samuel Whitbread Community College. In his spare time he enjoys playing bowls, darts and football and is an avid fan of Tottenham Hotspur. Dean has been working at Pippin since 2012. He enjoys teaching the children the foundations that will help them develop and prepare them for starting school.

HARNIT SHENI
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 2 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Harnit was born and educated in India, she moved to the UK in 2004 after getting married. She lived in Milton Keynes for four years before moving to Stotfold. Harnit is now enjoying life in Stotfold, along with her husband and two sons. Harnit got to know the staff at Pippin when her eldest son attended the pre-school, she liked the atmosphere, environment and staff so much that she decided to seek employment and became a permanent member of staff in 2011. Harnit loves working with children and watching them develop, she believes that she has the best job in the world.

KERRY CLARIDGE
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 3 NVQ in Children’s Care, Early Years First Aid.
Kerry has been married to her husband Alan for 16 years and they have 2 boys, Owen who is 13 and Corby who is 11. They have two dogs named Scruff and Coco as well as a scorpion named Spike. Kerry’s son Owen has a statement for special educational needs so in her spare time she helps run the parent line for the Dyspraxia Foundation.

LISA WARREN
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 4 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Lisa has been working in Childcare since 2006, and has had a wide range of experience including working summer and winter abroad, day nurseries, kindergarten and pre-school settings. She has been working at Pippin since 2012 and completed her Level 4 NVQ in Childcare through the Open University. Lisa has an interest in music and plays the clarinet, saxophone, guitar and keyboard in her free time. She was also a Cub Leader at her local Cub Scout group for several years. Lisa has recently returned to work after having her first child.

LIZ KENNY
QUALIFICATIONS: Early Years Practice, First Aid at Work.
Liz grew up by the seaside on the sunny Isle of Wight. After leaving school she attended art college in Southampton before moving to London where she lived for 15 years. During this time she met her partner Tony and they have 2 grown-up sons, Anthony and Conor. Liz worked for 11 years as a play worker and play manager in Hammersmith & Fulham whilst she was in London. In 2005 Liz moved to Stotfold and since then has worked as an LSA at Roecroft Lower School and at Pippin, where her main responsibility is running the Breakfast Club. Outside of work Liz enjoys digging her allotment and spending time with her family and friends.

LUCY SAUNDERS
QUALIFICATIONS: Level 2 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Lucy originally joined Pippin in 2013 as an Apprentice and has since completed her Level 2 and is now studying to complete her Level 3! Before starting at Pippin she studied at Samuel Whitbread Academy, staying on in Sixth Form to study Health & Social Care (BTEC). Lucy realised she wanted to work with children when she started volunteering at the Arlesey Youth Centre, which she had been doing since she was 12 – she really enjoyed working with the young people and leading team games. So far, Lucy has really loved her time here at Pippin, she loves playing with the children and helping them learn. A Disney fanatic, Lucy enjoys collecting anything Disney and is often heard singing Disney songs and dressing up.

RACHEL RICHARDSON
Rachel moved from London to Stotfold 6 years ago when expecting her eldest daughter, who now attends Roecroft Lower School. She joined the Committee in 2012 when her daughter was attending Pippin, and when her younger daughter started at Pippin the following year she joined the administration team. Since Easter, Rachel has been running the Pippin library and has now decided to work full-time in childcare and will be starting her training next year. In her spare time Rachel enjoys socialising with friends and family, good food, reading, watching films and going to the theatre.

SANDRA EELY
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning In Schools (QCF).
Sandra grew up in Letchworth and attended Norton Secondary School. She married her husband Andy in 1981. They moved to Stotfold in 1986 when their son Daniel was 7 months old. Their daughter Cheryl came along in 1988. Both children attended nursery and then went on to Roecroft Lower, Etonbury Middle and Samuel Whitbread Upper schools. Before joining Pippin, Sandra volunteered in a primary school for 18 months and then worked at the same school for 4 years as a Teaching Assistant. Sandra has been a Guider for many years in both Guides and Brownies. At present she is a Brownie Guider and has run her own unit for the past 7 years. In her spare time Sandra likes to read, knit, sew, make and decorate cakes. Spending quality time with her grandchildren is also very important to Sandra.

STACEY CAMPBELL
QUALIFICATIONS: Cache Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education, Early Years First Aid.
Stacey has worked in Childcare for the past 13 years. She thoroughly enjoys her job and finds it very rewarding seeing all the children learn, grow and develop. Outside of work she enjoys socialising with family and friends, swimming and watching her favourite soaps on television.

LIZ ROBERTS
QUALIFICATIONS: Early Years First Aid.
Liz was born and grew up in Bootle, Liverpool and is the youngest of 11 children. She has lived in Stotfold for the last 21 years, and has a son and daughter and 3 grandchildren. She has worked at Pippin for 9 years, exclusively in the Breakfast Club. In her spare time Liz enjoys line dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Katie and her family moved to Stotfold 5 years ago. She is the mother of 2 children who both attended Pippin. After serving as a Committee member, she became the Chairperson in 2012 whilst her daughter was attending the pre-school. She became a member of the Administration Team at Pippin in September 2013 and is responsible for admissions and bookings for the pre-school.
