Pippin Pre-School

About Us

Pippin Pre-School is a Committee run group established in the 1960s. The highly qualified team at Pippin are totally dedicated to the welfare of every child in its care. Our aim is to promote enjoyable, purposeful play that encourages learning and development in an atmosphere, which is safe, relaxed, healthy and fun.

Pippin Pre-School has grown and developed continually over time, now providing daily care and education to children aged from 2 to 5 years daily during term-time. We are able to offer free nursery funding to 3 and 4 year olds. Our group leader, Sharon Goddon, has led Pippin for over thirty years, and leads an excellent, motivated, caring and highly qualified staff team.

Pippin is located on the same site as Roecroft Lower School, Buttercup Road, Stotfold SG5 4PF. We are a separate organisation from Roecroft Lower School but we are closely linked with them and aim to make the transition to school as smooth as possible for all children. We also have excellent links with the other lower schools in the area, including St. Mary’s Academy in Stotfold, Fairfield Park Lower School, located in Fairfield Park, Stotfold, and Gothic Mead Lower School in Arlesey.

The Pre-School is a voluntary organisation managed entirely by parents. The parents elect a Committee, which employs the staff and carries out the administration and financial planning of the group. Pre-School fees cover staff salaries and day-to-day expenses whilst the acquisition of learning materials and equipment is mainly met by fund-raising. Pippin Pre-School is a registered Charity. No. 1028855.
