‘Children Learning through Play’
March, the month that brings in spring and ends the winter’ which we are all no doubt happy to hear!
Last month the children enjoyed making their masks and tasting a fortune cookie when they participated in celebrating the Chinese New Year. They were visited by a photographer from the Biggleswade Chronicle to capture the event. A copy of the article can be found in the press folder at the pre-school.
March is a busy month for the staff and children at Pippin Pre-School as, once again, they will be kept busy with the celebrations that take place this spring.
Mother’s Day is on the 2nd March and in preparation for the day the children will be making their special cards that will be delivered to their Mummies with breakfast in bed (take note Dads) on Sunday morning.
Mums and Dads will be pleased to hear that Pippin is having a Pyjama Morning in March. It will save on the ‘get dressed, we’re running late’ rush that we’ve all experienced! All the children, and the staff, will be wearing (or staying) in their pjs for the morning. No doubt there will be some teddy bears attending that day too!
In the week before Easter, the children, their siblings and their parents will have the chance to take part in an Easter Hunt organized by the pre-school’s committee. A number of pictured clues posted around the neighbouring roads will lead the ‘hunters’ to an item, or phrase, associated with Easter. On returning to the Roecroft Centre, armed with their answers, the children can collect their prize.
Finally, for this month’s update, the committee, staff and children at Pippin would like to say a big thank you to CAPITAL FIREPLACES LTD for their kind donation to the pre-school. The money has bought new toys for the children to enjoy. Thank you for thinking of us, as without the help and support of local companies Pippin would not be the pre-school that it is!
All that’s left to say is Happy Mother’s Day, Happy St Patrick’s Day and Happy Easter from all at Pippin Pre-School.
