‘Children Learning through Play’
It is February already, but it is not too late for Christmas thank-yous. The children, staff and committee of Pippin Pre-school would like to thank everyone for their kind contributions and support of both their Christmas Concert and their Christmas party, which were held in December. In particular, we would like to thank two local businesses, Hair by Phillip and Regency Flowers who both generously donated prizes to be raffled. The children had a great time performing classics like Jingle Bells and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and it was a lovely surprise for them when Father Christmas made an appearance to deliver some presents, a lovely story book was presented to every child.
Pippin saw a number of their children move on to Roecroft School in January and we would like to wish all the Pippin leavers well for the future. We hope that you are settling in to your ‘big’ school and have already made some new friends. Don’t forget to come back and visit us!
The next Chinese New Year starts on 7th February 2008. It will be the Year of the Rat. The children at Pippin will be joining in the new year merriment by making Chinese lanterns, welcome signs, book marks and other items that are associated with the celebrations that take place for the Chinese New Year.
Until next month, when we hope to have details of the launch of our new website Kung hei fat choy!
