‘Children Learning through Play’
First of all, Happy 3rd Birthday to the Stotfold News.
Well done Claire and Thank you! You are doing a great job keeping the town informed!
Pippin would like to say ‘Farewell’ and ‘Good Luck’ as some of the children moved on to ‘BIG’ school. We wish you well in your new classes and hope that you are settling in and have already made some new friends. Don’t forget to come back and visit us and tell us how you are doing.
Gardening will be a top topic this month: the children will be digging up daffodil bulbs and clearing the raised garden allotment at the pre-school, in readiness for spring planting. They will be sowing peas, carrots, runner beans, sunflowers and other flower seeds.
The children will be learning about shapes too this May and will be making collages, 3D models, etc. The staff will be taking small groups of children out for short walks around the town so they can look for shapes in the environment.
Once again Pippin Pre-School is pleased to announce its participation in The Barnado’s Big Toddle – A Fun Little Walk for Little Children. The children will be collecting sponsors in readiness for their annual fundraising event. The Big Toddle is held in June each year and is always very popular with children, parents and staff alike. Pippin usually succeeds in raising over £300 for Barnado’s, obviously it would be great to exceed this amount this year, so if you would like to sponsor us, please drop us an email or give us a call.
Thank you for your interest and we look forward to sharing more of our news with you again next month.
