PIPPIN PRE SCHOOL NEEDS YOU !
We are currently looking for enthusiastic parents with a sense of humour who can spare some of their time to join the Pippin Committee.
We are a friendly group of people whose children attend Pippin. We meet once a month to arrange fundraising events such as the annual quiz night and the Stotfold Mill Stall. We also generally support the running of the pre-school and assist the Pippin staff.
Without the committee we would not be able to legally run Pippin, afford new equipment for your children to develop their early years education and maintain play areas to a high standard.
Would you like to be more involved in your Child’s development whilst at Pippin?
Have you 1 or 2 hrs a month to spare?
Do you enjoy socialising and making new friends?
If the answer to any of these questions is YES we would be happy to welcome you into our friendly group. In return all we ask is for you to give us some not all of your spare time.
If you are interested in helping please see Rose or any of the committee members for further details.
Many Thanks,
Pippin Committee

Welcome to Pippin Pre-School website. We hope that you enjoy our website and find it informative. However, if you have a question then please do not hesitate to write, e-mail or telephone us. Our details can be found on the Contact Us page.
Our pre-school is run by a committee of parents elected by all the parents who use the group. This committee reviews the policy and practices of the pre-school and the employment and appraisal of staff. Our Annual General Meeting is held in October, at which time the committee is reformed for the following year. All parents are encouraged to attend and to become involved in the decision making processes for the group.
Pippin is a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance and is registered with Ofsted, who monitors and inspects us. We have contact with the Bedfordshire Early Years Development and Child Care Partnership and the local health visitor, who visits the pre-school group regularly. Also we liaise with the three lower-schools in Stotfold, Roecroft Lower School, St Mary’s Lower School and Fairfield Park Lower School, as we have children that move on to each of the schools.
We are a non-profit making registered charity and aim to set our fees as low as possible, whilst covering our running costs. In addition, we are able to offer free nursery funding to 3 and 4 year olds. In order to purchase new equipment, we rely on fund-raising efforts throughout the year. We do hope that parents will give a little of their time to help us at these events.
Parents and carers are also welcome to come and spend session time with the children, helping the staff and experiencing their child’s day for themselves. It is fun and rewarding to spend a morning at Pippin and many parents donate their time on a regular basis.
Newsletters are issued regularly, but all up-coming events are advertised on our notice board in the Roecroft Centre.
